Downloaded and installed the 10.04b1 for netbooks yesterday. I’m impressed with the visual refresh. I hated the Ubuntu brown themes. So far though, apart from the boot speed and visual improvements, it’s been a very disappointing experience. It crashes constantly. And unfortunately this seems yet again to be related to the Intel Xorg driver stack. I’ve also had applications fail to launch or launch minutes after I selected their icons. Waking from sleep seems hit and miss. But again that could be related for the driver. Fortunately most of the apport (spelling ?) captured bugs seem to have been reported to launchpad already. So fingers crossed, once they start pushing updates after the freeze, things will stabalize for the final release.

This install was just a stop gap while waiting for MeeGo 1.0. Moblin 2.1 was starting to get a little frustrating, many of the improvements for Moblin 2.2 should appear in MeeGo 1.0.
